H & L Industries, using it’s patented insulated Half-Log technology, announces the introduction of an engineered Butt and Pass insulated corner system into it’s product line. Comparable to all of the H & L Half-Logs, the newly created corners advantages over solid logs includes an overall 30% price savings, 80% less product weight.

The patented H & L Half-Log™ (formerly known as the Husky Half-Log) is an innovative, environmentally friendly, engineered wood product that combines pre-finished siding, insulation and sheathing into a single application step. Known as the world’s first large-diameter, laminated log siding product, the H & L Half-Log™ is engineered to provide four times greater R-values than solid log siding, while using 80% less timber. H & L Half-Logs™ are also 80% lighter than solid log profiles of the same size, streamlining building design and construction.

The H & L Industries product line includes four H & L Half-Log™ sizes (10", 12", 14", and 16" diameters). Four corner systems are now available: Insulated Round Corner Posts, Solid Saddle-Notch, Solid Square Cedar and now the Insulated Butt and Pass corners. Insulated Ceiling Beams  are also available in 10", 12", 16" and 20" diameters. Veneer choices are Knotty Pine (Smooth or Peeled) and Cedar Embossed Hardboard. Many additional products, accessories and options are available to enable customers to transform new or existing buildings into appealing, energy-efficient log structures.

The light-weight, durable H & L Half-Logs™ can be installed over wood or metal stud walls, masonry walls, solid log walls and rigid foam sheathing, as well as structural insulated panel (SIP) and insulated concrete form (ICF) systems.

H & L Half-Logs™ have been used on hundreds of commercial and residential installations, including resorts, lodges, motels, restaurants, retail shops, office buildings, condominiums, homes and cabins.
